PINEA “P50UL” is the maximum expression of the Tempranillo varietal from our Estate.

As mentioned before, the fruit from the 2018 vintage showed more complexity than in years past. But our winemaking team noticed that the wine in this single barrel showed extraordinary expressiveness and complexity, thus we decided to bottle it separately.

After primary fermentation in a 500-liter barrique, the wine aged for 24 months in the same barrique of new French oak. Like PINEA (2018), the fruit plays a leading role in PINEA PSOUL, however, the fruit from this barrel shows enhanced complexity, perfumy aromatics, and beautifully integrated fine tannins with mild acidity.

On the nose, fruit aromas are noticeably stronger and beautifully complemented with perfumy floral and spicy tones. Ripe blackberries, strawberries, and black cassis as well as ripe cherries and raspberries, anise, hibiscus, violets, lavender, roses, and a mild presence of tobacco, leather, and cedar.
